Method
- Optional: Sear chicken breasts in olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side.
- Mix cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in the crock pot.
- Place chicken breasts in the sauce and coat evenly.
- Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- Shred chicken in the crock pot and stir into the sauce.
- Add sour cream and mix until smooth.
- Top with cheddar cheese and parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with two tablespoons of cold water and stir into the crock pot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
