  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil optional for searing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional for garnish
  • Fresh parsley, chopped optional for garnish

Method
 

  1. Optional: Sear chicken breasts in olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side.
  2. Mix cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in the crock pot.
  3. Place chicken breasts in the sauce and coat evenly.
  4. Cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
  5. Shred chicken in the crock pot and stir into the sauce.
  6. Add sour cream and mix until smooth.
  7. Top with cheddar cheese and parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with two tablespoons of cold water and stir into the crock pot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
