Method
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken to skillet and cook until browned and cooked through (5-7 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
- Add minced garlic to skillet and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, butter, and heavy cream (if using). Cook until sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked pasta to skillet and toss to coat with sauce.
- Stir in chopped parsley and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For a lower-fat version, skip the heavy cream and use skim milk instead.
